Wisconsin DUI/OWI/DWI/Drunk Driving and Traffic Violations Defense Attorneys

After you have been cited for OWI, you will face an automatic administrative suspension of your driver's license for six months if you do not ask for an administrative review within 10 days (if citation received in person) to 13 days (if citation received through the mail). We will help you with this process to make sure you can keep your right to drive and get to work.

If there has been a mistake made by law enforcement, we will file a motion to dismiss the charges. We conduct a thorough investigation of the arrest and look at multiple areas, including:

  • Police reports for inaccuracies and lack of consistency
  • Determining if there was reasonable suspicion to conduct the stop
  • Determining if there was probable cause to arrest
  • Determining if profiling took place
  • Looking at how you did in the field sobriety tests
  • Studying preliminary breath/Breathalyzer test
  • Examining lab and BAC reports
  • Examining testing equipment records

If you are facing a second or third OWI arrest, it is important to show the court that you realize you have a problem and want to resolve it. We can help by getting you into AODA programs and assessments. In addition, we can attack prior convictions to possibly have them removed from your record to lessen the severity of the current charges. Our attorneys care about your recovery and want to make sure that your future is not in danger. Everyone deserves a second chance, and we will help you get that chance.

If your charges are for a serious traffic violation, you might think that you can handle it on your own. If you are not careful, however, you could face having your driver's license suspended or revoked. We have experience resolving many types of traffic violations and will work hard to reduce or drop the traffic violation from your driving record.
